you gotta do the fruita/moab double sometime soon. i was lucky enough to live an hour from fruita when i was most recently living in colorado and it's as good as reviewed. i would suggest april as the best time, it can get very hot. i almost had to take one of my boys from dc to the hospital after a 5 hour epic there, since there is very little escape from the sun. hope you've recovered from big bear. later. mike
